Izumi

Makoto: Huh, weird. Where did my glasses go? I just put them down for a second to wash my face...

Izumi: Yuuuu~kuuuun... ♪

Makoto: Gyeh?! That voice can only mean—Izumi-san?!

Wh–what do I do? I want to run away, but I can barely see!

Izumi: Hang on, why would you want to run away, Yuu-kun? I even took the time to find what you were looking for.

Makoto: Huh? Are those my glasses? Did you grab them for me, Izumi-san?

Izumi: Now pick wisely, Yuu-kun! Is what you’re looking for precious memories with your beloved onii-chan, or your beloved onii-chan, himself?

Makoto: What are you talking about?! I’m not looking for either of those things, so why are those the choices?!

Izumi: Come on, Yuu-kun, hurry up and pick~

Makoto: D–didn’t the original story say that if you answer honestly, you get both options?[1]

Urgh, there’s no winning no matter what I do! Please, just give me back my glasses...!

Izumi is referencing The Honest Woodcutter, a fable by Aesop about a man who loses his ax in a river and is met by the god Hermes (or Mercury) who offers him a golden and then a silver ax; when the woodcutter responds honestly that neither are his, the god returns his ax and also lets him keep both of the others.
