Tetora: Huh? I’m not lonely_wolf, I thought you were!
Tsukasa: Certainly not. I belong to the Blue Rose.
Tetora: Bummer. I was sure you were lonely_wolf, Suou-kun...
Oh, by the way, I’m Blue Rose, too.
Tsukasa: What a pleasant surprise, to be on the same team ♪
But I apologize for doubting you. I mistook you for the wrong person.
Tetora: Yeah well, I did too!
But if you’re not lonely_wolf, then who is...?
Hajime: Umm. Is this lonely_wolf person famous or something?
Tsukasa: Yes, very. They’re a well-known player on the Red Rose team, and the archenemy of us on the Blue Rose team. I can’t count how many of us have cried ourselves to sleep over them...
Tetora: They just pop outta nowhere, and before you can blink they’ve captured your base.
I’m positive this guy’s somewhere in Yumenosaki, especially since I’ve seen the username around school.
Tsukasa: There are so many ways to enjoy yourself in RoseKnights, like collecting items or hunting monsters, and yet they seem entirely absorbed with the battle mechanic.
Would that I might do battle against them one day ♪
Tetora: Ahaha, you sure don’t look it, but you’re pretty savage. It was the same when we were playing Idobato.
I’m still a noob, so I’m gonna pass on that bloodbath.
Hajime: Battle...? Is this a fighting game?
Tetora: Whoops, we left Hajime-kun in the dust there. My bad!
Tsukasa: I believe it would be easier to understand if you tried RoseKnights for yourself. Would it be all right if I downloaded the application for you?
Hajime: Um—I’m sort of interested in the game, but if it costs money then I can’t really...
Tsukasa: Please do not worry. RoseKnights is a free-to-play game.
Hajime: Really? That is reassuring. Umm, RoseKnights, RoseKnights... is it this one?
Whoa, a video’s playing. It looks so cool! Those knights are fighting—is this what the gameplay is like?
Tsukasa: Correct. The game is split between the Red Rose and Blue Rose teams.
It is a struggle to claim waypoints known as bases. Players walk around in the real world and do battle to claim them.
Tetora: After that movie’s over, you can make a character like that knight. The character you choose in the beginning’s important, too.
Tsukasa: If you want to focus on battles, then I recommend you choose a knight or brawler class. Priests can heal, so that would be a good choice, as well.
Then there are assassins, who have low raw attack power but intensive mechanics.
Shinobu (off-screen): Whoa, I got a rare item!
Tetora: Huh? That sounds like...
Shinobu: Oh, Tetora-kun. And Shino-dono and Suou-kun are with thee.
Hajime: Hi, Sengoku-kun. You were just shouting, what was that about?
Shinobu: I found a Substitution Scroll in the game I’m playing currently, so I’m really excited ♪
Tsukasa: What the—but that’s an item I can’t get even through whaling!
Shinobu: Indeed, I should reserve this item until a critical moment. I shall have to take super extra good care of it.
Tetora: Are you playing RoseKnights too, Sengoku-kun?
Shinobu: That is correct. It seemed to be popular, so I downloaded it to try it out and got hooked.
Tsukasa: I also got addicted to it, since it’s based on Idobato.
Shinobu: It’s good exercise to conquer the bases and collect items, too. I have greatly enjoyed my time as a solo player.
I’m working hard to make my way up from an assassin to a Shinobi Master ♪
...Huh—?!
Hajime: Wh–what’s wrong?
Shinobu: I was just speaking with thee so casually. But by thine words, Tetora-kun, art thou also a RoseKnights player...?
It truly is hard to see what’s right under thy nose. I never believed there’d be a player so close to me. Tetora-kun, please add me as a friend!
Tetora: Sure thing~ Lemme just open the app.
Tsukasa: Ahh, is it all right if I add you as well?
Tetora: Yeah, dude! Here’s my player ID~
Shinobu: I–if it’s not too much trouble, I’d be really happy if I could add thee too, Shino-dono.
Hajime: Umm, that’s fine but. Please keep in mind I’ve only just started playing.
It must be a lot of fun if everyone is so into it. I’m kind of looking forward to it ♪
